Leather ZANELLATO
Know how acquired in the best tanneries in the world has been used to create secret recipes that are carefully guarded by the maison Zanellato.
Full grain leather, famous worldwide, adds personality to a bag and continues the tradition of high quality. The hides are carefully chosen, like a detail, and represent Italian quality and savior vivre. The tanning process stabilizes, using a procedure that halts the decomposition of organic matter - a procedure used for all leathers.
We work together with the tannery to create the ideal level of durability and softness; often we have to repeat the drying phase to stabilize the fibers - which are the soul of leather - and to guarantee elasticity so that the leather can be handcrafted to perfection without losing its softness. Great care is taken during the coloring phase in drums; as the color flows, it gives the leather transparency, fullness, and is absorbed unevenly, creating a natural cloudy effect that minimizes imperfections and natural grain movement giving the color depth.
All hides are tanned using natural methods, resulting in bags that could have slight differences in details and color from those shown in the photo.
Philatelic postmark and Serial number
Due to numerous counterfeits of the Postina® model, officially deposited both on a national and international level, Zanellato has decided to introduce a unique accessory to protect the quality and authenticity of the product. An incision with the philatelic postmark issued to Franco Zanellato on 21 June 2011 by Poste Italiane will be placed on one of the two studs using the Guilloché technique by the master jewelers Girotto from Vicenza.
